VP of Sales

Location: United States – Remote

In the world of fintech, Wealthbox is the fastest-growing and highest-rated CRM software platform for financial advisors, serving tens of thousands of professionals across the country. Our modern, intuitive software helps independent financial advisory firms manage client relationships, streamline workflows, and collaborate with their teams.
 
We seek a dynamic VP of Sales to lead and scale our sales organization, drive revenue growth from our core CRM platform and forthcoming add-on products, and expand Wealthbox’s market presence in the wealth management industry. In this leadership role that reports to the CEO, you will oversee a team – Account Executives, Enterprise Sales Leaders, Business Development, and Sales Enablement professionals – ensuring they have the strategies, tools, and support needed to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale our sales team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Develop and execute an SMB, mid-market, and enterprise sales strategy targeting advisory firms of all sizes as well as RIA aggregators and broker-dealers.
  • Build and manage sales pipelines in each segment, driving multi-user licensing agreements for Wealthbox
  • Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and product demos to negotiations and contract closure
  • Coach the sales team with training, sales tools, and data-driven insights to maximize efficiency and success
  • Analyze and report on sales performance metrics, including in quarterly board meetings, and continuously optimize processes to achieve revenue targets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with the Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to refine positioning, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives
  • Represent Wealthbox at industry events, webinars, and strategic networking opportunities to generate leads and strengthen brand awareness
  • Hire new sales professionals and managers to build out the team as we continue to grow
  • Specific sales functions reporting into the role or over time: 
    • SMB Sales 
    • Mid-Market Sales 
    • Enterprise Sales
    • Partnerships 
    • Account Management (customer renewals and upsells) 
    • Sales Enablement (solution engineering, training, etc.)

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading and scaling high-velocity B2B SaaS sales teams, and helping Wealthbox grow to $100M in ARR and beyond.
  • Expertise in managing a sales cycle in our mid-market and enterprise segments, including negotiations, pricing discussions, and pilot programs
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop top sales talent
  • Experience designing compensation and incentive (monetary and other) plans; executive-level experience setting company sales targets and territories, and providing accurate forecasts 
  • Data-driven mindset complemented by strong CRM and spreadsheet proficiency and the ability to track and optimize pipeline performance
  • An ability to learn and demo the Wealthbox product, complemented by excellent presentation and communication skills, to help the sales team optimally present the value of Wealthbox to decision-makers
  • A collaborative approach that’s aligned with management goals and financial objectives, working across departments to refine sales strategies and customer experiences
  • Enthusiasm for fast-paced, high-growth environments and a passion for helping our customers succeed
  • Strong business acumen that complements outstanding sales leadership skills – an appreciation for how enterprise value is created by the business as a whole
  • Private equity-backed company experience is preferred

 

Work schedule

  • Full-time, weekdays during business hours
  • Occasional travel for industry conferences, client meetings, and company offsite events
