Team Wealthbox is happy to introduce today a new way to display where contact-based custom fields should display. We’re customizing custom fields!
Custom fields allow you to track extra information about your contacts, projects, tasks and opportunities. For example, you might create a “Favorite Sports Team” field to keep track of which teams your clients root for in sports.
Sometimes, users want to gather information for a certain type of client — namely a person, household, trust, or company that isn’t relevant to other types. For example, it doesn’t make much sense to have a “Favorite Sports Team” field for a company or trust. The new feature released today solves this problem.
How it works…
As a Wealthbox account owner or admin, you can easily manage all your custom fields from one place. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner, then click on ‘Settings’ In the settings page under ‘Workspace,’ click on ‘Customizations.’ Finally, click on ‘Custom Fields’ to pull up a list of each of your custom fields and their settings.
When configuring custom fields for contacts, you have the option to display fields on: People, Households, Companies and Trusts. Custom fields will display on contact record pages that match the selected type — and you can always change your selection later.
